When I see a Ukrainian woman begging an army press gang not to forcibly enlist her husband and drag him off to the front, I know whose side I’m on.

Questions for supporters of USC: do you oppose forcible conscription in Ukraine? And the proposals now being discussed to reduce the call up age to 18, conscript women and forcibly return Ukrainian refugees in Western Europe so that they too can be called up, alongside the men trapped in the country, who are not allowed to leave?

If so, don’t you think that your campaign should too?

The campaign for peace and against the war preparations being ramped up across Europe is building, with big demonstrations against conscription by young people across Germany at the weekend under the slogan Die Reichen wollen Krieg. Die Jugend will eine Zukunft” (The rich want war. The Youth want a Future).

This will be the focus for an International Youth Strike Against War on 20th November across Europe in particular, and a weekend of action against conscription on the following two days, which will begin to kick back against the war psychosis being consciously hyped up across Europe.
